We offer car hire in many Spanish locations. Spain is a country like no other; it is so diverse that no one location can fully give you the whole picture. Once you start to travel the country in your rental car, you will find that there is something for everyone. The sun shines almost every day of the year, which makes for a very good lifestyle. Expect to find a fiesta at any time of the year but especially in the summer where every town or village will have one at some point with plenty of fireworks and music.
There is much to explore from the mountains through the plains to the Mediterranean Sea. If you like a beach holiday they range from beautiful sandy beaches with lively bars and restaurants in the more developed areas to peaceful coves where you can spend a quiet day while dining on locally purchased food. The best way to get around Spain is by use of a hire car from one of the many locations we have to offer.
The food everywhere in Spain is exceptional, almost always freshly cooked from the Tapas to the cheap 'Menu del Dias' which also includes good wines. There are also many Michelin star restaurants for those that want a different experience.
If culture, architecture and history make your trip then there are many cities to visit. Barcelona has many fantastic places to see, Parc guell, Sagrada familia, the Picasso museum plus the famous Ramblas. Madrid, has The Prado museum, the Cathedral, the Plaza Major and the Puerto del Sol plaza also The Palacio Real (royal palace). Valencia has 'The City of Arts and Sciences' with the Oceanograph and other cutting edge contemporary buildings. Although the F1 Grand Prix is no longer run at the Port you can walk through all the track areas, plus there is a beautiful sandy beach right there. Travel south and you find Seville possibly the most beautiful city in Spain. It has many attractions, why not see some Flamenco dancing, take a carriage ride to the Cathedral or a trip on the river to the Golden tower and the plaza del Toros. Then move on to Cordoba to visit The Mezquita, an Islamic mosque, constructed by the Moors; cross the pedestrian Roman bridge over the Rio Quadalquivir, this runs through both Cordoba and Seville. In the evening visit the Equestrian Centre for a display of the famous Lipizzaner horses.
Now take a trip in your hire car to Granada to visit The Alhambra, it is set in the hills with fantastic views over the city. There are plenty of beach resorts in the south, but if you want to people watch then the Marbella marina at Puerta Banus is where the rich like to show off their yachts and Ferraris.
Inland a visit to Cuenca with its hanging houses is a must as they are built hanging over a deep gorge. Visit the Cathedral to see the amazing paintings and stay in a Parador. These are a great place to stay when travelling by car in Spain. Many are in old converted buildings like castles and convents; the one here is in an old monastery. In the north of Spain is Galicia which has a spectacular Atlantic coastline which can be wild at times. While in the area visit Santiago de Compostela cathedral, it is the final destination of the Camino de Santiago, a popular pilgrimage that starts from France. If you continue eastwards you enter the area known as the Costa Verde because of the beautiful scenery with rugged cliffs, sheer gorges and dense forests. There are also many old and elegant seaside towns with lovely beaches and coves where you can swim in the warm seas in the summer months.
Travel further east in your hire car to the Basque Country and San Sebastián a picturesque city with magnificent beaches. It has some of the best food in Spain with many first class Tapas bars where you can sample the local dishes. The Spanish royals have a residence here where they go to escape the heat in the summer.
Spain also owns the Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca each with its own unique history and culture. Travel off the coast of Africa in the winter and find sun in the Canary Islands which are also part of Spain. We do also offer cheap car hire in the Canary Islands.
